Common Questions

Legal DNA testing, answered.

We don’t offer online booking, and that’s intentional. Before we schedule any appointment, we need to ask a few pre-qualifying questions to make sure we order the right test for your situation. For example: how many participants are being tested, who is involved, whether the test needs to be court-admissible, whether anyone is pregnant, and what location works best. Calling, texting, or emailing means you speak with a real person, not a chatbot or scheduling form. This avoids misunderstandings, makes sure your test is set up correctly the first time, and gets you to your results faster. Call or text (951) 290-7500 or email contact@paternityverified.com, 9 AM – 9 PM, 7 days a week.
The only real difference is convenience. We come to you instead of you driving to them. What people don’t always realize is that those brick-and-mortar “DNA testing” locations are not labs either, they are collection sites, just like us. They collect your sample and ship it off to an outside lab. We do the exact same thing, except the collection site is wherever you want us to show up. Same lab processing, same accreditation, same accuracy. We just remove the driving, the waiting room, and the appointment-coordination headache.
Yes, anywhere that works for you. Your home, a friend or relative’s home, your workplace, an attorney’s office, a hospital, even the parking lot of a coffee shop, library, grocery store, or any business where you can sit in your car. The collection takes about 20 minutes and we work around your privacy and your schedule. If you can be there with valid ID, we can collect there.
If you’re searching for a legal DNA paternity test near you in Southern California, we can come directly to you. Paternity Verified provides court-admissible mobile DNA testing throughout Lake Elsinore, Murrieta, Temecula, Menifee, Wildomar, Hemet, San Jacinto, Moreno Valley, Beaumont, and 200+ other SoCal cities. We meet you at your home, workplace, attorney’s office, or any location that works for you. No need to drive to a clinic. Call us at (951) 290-7500 to schedule.
Two things working together: the sample must be processed by an AABB-accredited laboratory, and the entire collection must follow a strict chain of custody. Without both, the result cannot be considered legal or admissible in court. Our tests check both boxes every time.
Yes. Our legal DNA tests are valid for any court or legal purpose, including family court, civil court, probate, and state and federal proceedings. The combination of AABB-accredited processing, strict chain of custody, and a notarized result is the legal standard.
Yes. This is one of the most common reasons people come to us for a legal test. Most state agencies (including California Vital Records) require a legal DNA test with full chain of custody to change a birth certificate.
Every adult participant needs a valid, up-to-date photo ID: state ID, driver's license, passport, or military ID. This requirement applies even to adults signing on behalf of a child who isn't being tested themselves.
No. Children do not need any ID or birth certificate. A parent or legal guardian signs the chain-of-custody documentation on the child's behalf.
Your results are delivered however you prefer. We can send them only to you, or directly to your attorney, the court, or any other requesting party. It's your choice. Just let us know when you schedule your appointment.
Most legal DNA test results are available within 3–5 business days after the sample reaches the laboratory.
Yes. As part of the chain of custody, photos are taken of every participant and any adult signing on behalf of a child, even if that adult isn't being tested. This becomes part of the official, court-admissible record.
A legal DNA paternity test starts at $399, which includes mobile collection within 20 miles of 92585, two participants, the mother free of charge if included, AABB-accredited processing, and notarized results. See full pricing →
No problem. We collect samples wherever each participant is, even if they’re in different cities or states. Same-city collections for the second participant are included at no extra charge. If the second participant is in a different city, a travel fee applies based on the distance between the two locations. This fee is separate from the additional participant fee. We’ll quote it upfront before scheduling, so you know the full cost before committing. The chain of custody is maintained across both locations.
